Our Family members Curt and Shonda Hinton sent me some good news to share with you about their son, Kyle.  Kyle is an athlete AND a scholar! Kyle was selected in the 7th round (253rd overall) of the NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings! He has been playing since he was six years old. Kyle played on the offensive line as a left tackle for Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.  He started 34 games, making 40 appearances.

His awards include: A four-time all Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) selection; All-region honors in 2018 and 2019; a three-time All-American selection; four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and three-time MIAA Scholar Athlete award winner.

In addition to football, Kyle participated in track and field earning second team all-American honors after finishing ninth at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Kyle holds the school record in the weight throw and the top eight throws overall, as well as the outdoor record in the discus and the top six marks in school history.
